Victoria Beckham iPad Case

Some of you might've seen it last March when Victoria Beckham showcase her collection of bags during the press day in London. Among all of her signature cabas and clutches, lies some beauty that looks so delish itself sitting on the display table. The iPad cases in a very smooth buttery luscious leather, which can also be mistaken as a clutch too!

What is interesting about the cases is that it somehow echoes the signature design of the mini satchels in the Autumn/Winter '11 collection. Much like what Proenza Schouler did with theirs, which is a resonance to the PS1 bags. This beauty from Miss VB look very minimalist sleek and chic - having that centre removable strap fastening and metallic hardware. Unfold it open, you'll find that the iPad is placed in the centre, while on the right flap is a compartment to fill some documents should you want to.

The vermillion color looks very delish indeed. Got some £740 to spare? Then it could be yours which is available at Selfridges. Imagine taking this on the front row at London Fashion Week...phew, snap!!! (phew...as in melayang £740 that is!)

Men's Mono by Isetan

Isetan did their own menswear label called Men's Mono by Isetan. During my recent visit to Suria KLCC, I stumbled upon the collection which is located at the third floor of the store (a newly, yet to be finished menswear department). What is my initial reaction? I thought it was something from the UK; much like what I used to see Albam at Spitalfields in East London did. Or maybe the vintage-lookalike concession in Topman Oxford Circus would do. It was a complete surprise, and I am quite off-guard to be reading the label : Men's Mono by Isetan.

The collection is so edgy that not only those who are concerned about how they look and brave enough would wear it, but it's nothing like what I've ever seen in Malaysian market before. Very modern cut, slightly 'avant garde' compared to the typical department store's in-house label, very fashiony, and surprisingly lots of cool accessories too. When I said 'avant garde', no.. I'm not referring to Gareth Pugh's avant garde! That's far too much going on. What I'm saying is that the collection is a step ahead compared to SEED would do. Lots of tailoring like casual and formal shirts, as well as t-shirts and sweats which are great. And mentioning accessories, I love their bags like totes and envelop pouches though quite taken aback when I realized that they were just pleather. If not... hmmm, I've snapped one too.

Among all of the clothes on the rail, my eyes went to one piece which I think is quite cool (and safest among the lots): the sweater with a slightly scoop neck in gradual earth tones. Touching the fabric I thought it was a wool, but upon checking the label I realized it's a synthetic mix. Nonetheless, the texture is amazing. The fit is pretty body-skimming which is a great plus. And I like that they keep the edges very raw to give a sense of modern nonchalance appeal.

So, this one's coming home with me. As it is neutral tones, it can practically go well with almost anything. Perfecto!

Like Father, Like Son

It's holiday season! One thing about December is that everybody now has being bitten by the holiday bugs. Not only that the Christmas festivity is just around the corner for those who celebrate it, but this month is also the time when everyone terhegeh-hegeh wanna finish up all their remaining annual leave. I've just checked mine again yesterday and it turned out that I only have 9 more days left, unlike what I said before which is 12. Eeek! It means I really have to find ways to finish some... if not all.

And mentioning holiday, I think this is the perfect time to be with the family and friends. It's a good period to spend time, chill out and do things together, especially when now is the school holiday season. My big bro is supposed to come and visit me yesterday, siap call pepagi buta sebelum Subuh lagi beria2 nak datang...but it turned out instead of coming to Cameron Highlands, he made a detour to Genting instead. Whaa..? How's that happened? Oh, I know - there's no roller coaster in Cameron Highlands, huh? I get it... *dusyummm!* But whatever it is I am looking forward for next week, coz hopefully I'm having a bigfat weekend with the kids again and get to makan-makan, chill out and do the silly things just like last weekend. :)

Talking about family, the new 'Holiday' lookbook by H&M featured celebrities and models with their family members. Including the veteran singer, Bryan Ferry who is photographed alongside his son, Tara, who happen to be a male model. Tara walked for Burberry in the previous FW11 show in Milan, and look smashing with his dad in the ad campaign. Who rocks better - the dad or the son? I think both, coz it appeals to either side of the demographic. Like father, like son... both look awesome with the ensemble by H&M

Apart from Bryan and Tara Ferry, others that made into the list is supermodel Kristen McMenamy who brought along her two sons, Jerry Hall with daughter-slash-model Georgia May Jagger, Karen Elson with her sister (or is it mother I can't tell?), and some others who I didn't reckon. But whatever it is, the lookbook shows the good gene is passed all in the family.

Mentioning it's all in the family, so... who rocks better with the aviator shades? Yours truly moi on the left, or my nephew Syafiq on the right? Like uncle like nephew, huh? Ahaks!

*sorry Syafiq, Su songlap gambar from FB...jgn marah. huhu..
